I get in really big moods where I gravitate towards something and I end up going overboard getting pieces in that category. For example, I recently purchased 2 silky statement midi skirts after getting fixated on them haha. Another area I’m growing in is the white summer blouse category. This one from Free People I’ve worn at least three times already. It’s the perfect piece for me to throw on that makes me feel dressed up without much effort. I have rounded up a few of my favorites above so be sure to check them out above. I love the way blouses are being designed nowadays with some homage to the 90s and 70s with more peasant top elements. I had a conversation last night with a barista and one of my friends who was talking about my friends blouse saying that it was great for someone with bigger boobs to wear that is flattering. She turned to me and said she wasn’t sure what it was like to have an A cup and wished she did sometimes. It really got me thinking, of course we always want what we don’t have but recently what I’ve noticed is that there are a lot of designers who are finally catering to women with differing body shapes. Not to mention a lot of these blouses that feature a little underwire or corset look and feel usually bring a lot of attention to your boobs and for someone with smaller boobs it’s not always the most flattering. I have however, been seeing them modeled on a lot of smaller chested women and I gotta say it doesn’t look half bad! A lot of these kind of blouses are coming into style recently and it’s nice to see that it actually CAN work with a multitude of shapes and sizes, in particular With Jean is one of my favorites right now. Anywho, I’m slightly rambling but when it comes to picking out cute summer blouses it’s nice to not have to feel restricted in what I’m getting and for once it’s great to be able to shop the same kind of styles as a friend who is a lot more filled out than myself! Now granted, every company differs when it comes to how the blouse fits, feels, etc. but for the most part I have to say these tops will make your summer wardrobe a whole lot easier. Throw them on with jeans, a silky midi skirt and you’re basically ready for a vacation in Southern France.
