Once again I’m jumping on board with the transparent handbag craze that’s been enveloping us style lovers. The greatest thing about these bags is that there are so many different versions out there that you can pick one up that fits your vibe. I’ve seen transparent bags all over since I was a kid, I mean I had a few backpacks and fanny packs in my day but they seemed to become a thing of the past (or strictly limited to raves). Lately people have been picking up some high end versions (Chanel / Louis Vuitton) while some of our cult favorite brands are designing some master pieces (think Staud clothing / Shop Girl LA). I’ve listed a few of my favorites here but I’d suggest always giving your local vintage shops or Etsy for more original pieces if that’s your thing

I also thought it was funny that one of my coworkers questioned me in getting a clear bag saying “don’t you feel pressured to have cute stuff in it now” and I have to say I don’t disagree haha! But at the same time you have to own what you put in your bag as well. While most of my pieces are really neutral and pretty I do have a love for Trader Joe’s mints which are in a bright blue tin so you win some and you lose some I suppose! Also my keys for my car are on a Psych lanyard (my favorite show of all time) and I have about 5 keychains and a handful of keys so while it might seem like an eyesore I don’t mind since it’s 100% me and if you care enough to know what’s in my bag there it is. What do you guys think about transparent or clear handbags? Too much? Would you feel intimidated having all of your purse items out for everyone to see? Also as a side note, I do have a little makeup pouch that you can hide some of your more personal items in so it’s not ALL out there for everyone!
