Summer Hats

May 28, 2020

So excited to have summer right around the corner and ready to dip into my collection of hats new and old. I definitely go in and out of wearing hats more regularly and this time I’m on a hat phase again. Usually when summer hits I choose more bucket hats, and straw hats of the sort but I’m also leaning a lot towards wearing baseball hats on the regular. Quarantine is closing in on phase 2 which means some retail stores and restaurants are now finally opening up. That being said, the beaches as well are open here in Orange County so I went down to get a little fresh air with a close friend to check out the sunset. The view was absolutely breathtaking and a great breather from the constant stressors of being inside and thinking about the unknown.

It was a bit windy down by the beach so I was really happy to grab my Lack of Color faux leather bucket hat to go with a new maxi dress I just got. Both were perfect for a mild day by the water. I gotta say, with quarantine and not being able to trim my hair I’m actually enjoying wearing hats at this hair length. I received this hat as a gift awhile back but haven’t had a chance to actually wear it outside yet. Lucky for me it went with the look I was going for and helped maintain my hair when the breeze started going after sunset. I’m looking forward to transitioning to some fun floral printed bucket hats as well and embracing a more interesting accessory focus this summer.

I’ve rounded up some of my favorite hats above that are either on my wishlist or already exist in my closet. One of my favorite styles right now are the knit short bucket hats and straw visors (perfect for laying out on the beach or by a pool). Hope you guys enjoy and find some inspiration for increasing your hat collection or finding new ways to wear your current hats!
