The Best Shows from NYFW Fall/Winter 2019

February 22, 2019

So I just got back from New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2019 and I have to say that this is probably the best season I’ve been to yet. Unfortunately I was only able to go for 2 full days and missed out on a lot of shows and presentations I was excited for (a lot more spread out this year). But that won’t stop me from featuring the shows/presentations that have me SO excited for the coming seasons. While there are a ton of really edgy and out there pieces this season I’ll be focusing more on the more relatable everyday wear collections!

Baldwin

I was so excited to stop by the Baldwin presentation and let me tell you that it didn’t disappoint. The space it was in was an interior dream not to mention every piece had the perfect mix of 70s silhouettes with a modern twist. What I love most about Baldwin is their wearability and quality. Every piece can be worn multiple ways over a multitude of seasons and the pieces are always made from the highest quality. My favorite piece this season had to be the suspender trousers and plaid trousers.

Where I’d wear: These pieces are perfect for wearing to the office and then out to a happy hour dinner with friends!

Collina Strada

Collina Strada always has stunning and moving shows. Every single show I’ve attended has had a deeper more spiritual and relevant meaning behind it. This season was focused on making a change in helping our environment by wasting less and continuing down the road to sustainability. My favorite pieces had to be any and everything tie dye.

Where I’d wear: vintage shopping on the weekends.

Nanushka

My favorite presentation by far every season is Nanushka. Their silhouettes, designs, materials, everything is always so incredibly beautiful it almost brings a tear to your eye. One of their most stand out pieces was a tortoise printed PVC skirt that was something slightly unexpected but completely cool.

Where I’d wear: special occasions like weddings, dinners, and going to brunch.C

Bevza

If you want to find beautiful, classic, and vintage silhouettes then Bevza is the designer for you. Every piece is unique and is something you’d put on and make you feel feminine and gorgeous. Silky dresses, trousers, tailored coats, honestly this has to be one of my favorite designers right now.

Where I’d wear: honestly I’d wear these pieces anywhere but especially for a brunch or day of shopping.

Mansur Gavriel

If you want to find wonderful menswear inspired pieces with a twist of femininity and pops of color then the Fall Mansur Gavriel collection is one you want to look towards. I love Mansur Gavriel and find all of their handbags and shoes the perfect staple pieces to include in your future wardrobe.

Where I’d wear: Meetings, work, honestly anywhere!
