I love how styles and trends are always changing and the fact that I’ve never stuck to any one in particular. I recently had a conversation with a close friend about how my ‘aesthetic’ is forever changing and I’d like to think that’s a good thing. I get inspired by new pieces, new styles, and new trends on the daily. One minute I’m looking to Parisian femme looks and another 90s grunge. I’ve been drawn to unique pieces and designers like Vetements that are taking what we would consider staples in our wardrobes (t-shirts, hoodies, track pants) and transforming them into pieces of art in the form of clothing. This particular Marques Almeida piece from Stylebop has a really rad cut and bold shoulders to give off a cool 80s shoulder pad look with a modern twist of a chambray blouse. I decided to go for the ole Canadian Tux look with the blouse tucked into a pair of Guess thrifted mom jeans and my go-to Gucci belt. Another amazing designer I’m obsessed with is Cafune which as you know are the makers of this beautiful green basket bucket bag. These kind of bold structured pieces are a great way to add a twist to your closet essentials.
