It’s my third trip out to New York for Fashion Week and it’s becoming more comfortable each and every time. I’ll admit, I love reading bloggers accounts of the event and seeing their perspectives on everything. There are definitely those who live for Fashion Week’s and those who would rather admire from afar. I can understand both sides of it and respect the fact that it’s not for everyone. My first year was a big learning process with little to no activities lined up but gave me the opportunity to learn, network and try and understand how this whole NYFW thing worked. My second trip was a lot more activity driven but again, a big learning process when it came to networking, styling looks and understanding where to stay and how to travel and schedule shows and presentations. This third year has definitely been the most relaxed, our schedules weren’t too packed and we understood that most importantly our well being was the highest priority. Making sure we ate on time, had some down time to just relax and get caught up on work and to have some fun in between! I get major anxiety so it was important for me to feel that no matter what, we were going to have a great time, capture some amazing content and not worry too much that we hit each and every show or presentation we had lined up. Here’s a little look into how each day went plus some images of what I was wearing and most importantly a video below that captures a ton of the shows I attended! Also a big thanks to Arlo Soho for being our home away from home and providing a really great location to be able to stop into in between shows and presentations. Hope you enjoy

I had such an amazing time at NYFW SS18 this year. I feel like every year I learn a little bit more from the year prior. Although I had an amazing time it was definitely a short compact trip that was packed with activity. I always wish I could be in New York just a little bit longer but alas, I’ll make sure to extend my trip in February! There are a ton of mixed reviews from bloggers that I hear about Fashion Week and I definitely agree that it’s not for everyone.

I had an amazing time at NYFW this year and although I hit the end leg of the week it was still an amazing time. The second day of shows and previews I was lucky enough to share with my French Connection US family. I wore this incredible look all via French Connection! This look was the perfect outfit to wear with the incredible weather we received that day.

My theme for Fashion Week this year was pops of red as you can tell. Most of this outfit is courtesy of Zara, and by most I mean everything but the shoes. I am loving the color red as of late and especially this more sporty look. Truly bringing back the 90s with this zip top with high neck that brings a sporty edge to this look.

Day two of New York Fashion Week means lazy Sundays and shopping. We popped into Acne down in Soho and did a little spending, although there were plenty of pieces I’d be more than happy to drop some bills on, I reverted to just browsing. Since it was a more casual day, I opted for a more casual look. I picked up this off shoulder poplin from Zara. I have another off shoulder poplin blouse however I loved that this one had the collar still attached which gives a very low maintenance look.
I had an incredible stay during my time at Citizen M Hotel in New York City. This hotel is located in midtown close to Times Square and just a few streets over from 5th ave. If you are looking for the perfect location for a NY getaway this is it. This hotel is based on the premise of community, with tons of lounging areas both in the lobby, outdoor patios, and rooftop bar.

A little green velvet for my first day of New York Fashion Week 2016! This being my first trip I was so excited to just be within the city and all it has to offer during this time. I was able to mix work (day job) and play (blogging) and get a little exploring in as well.
