Gingham Trouser with PomPoms – Zara | Summers Here Black Monokini – Tobi | Heeled Black Mules – ASOS | Medium Monogramme Crossbody Bag – YSL
As I’m sure a lot of you have seen, gingham is having a major moment this Spring. I wore a matching set last year in July and have been obsessed ever since. I specifically am enjoying the ruffles, asymmetrical hemlines and overall statement pieces this fun fabric has been transformed into. It really makes for a great statement piece.
I scrounged up this top a few weeks ago after losing it in one of my drawers. It is such a treat to find gems like this in your own closet! I purchased it for a steal at H&M after being inspired by an image on Tumblr of a beautiful lace camisole. It is almost identical to the one I am wearing here. I decided to pair my new sporty tube socks from American Apparel with a more feminine touch of lace that can be found both in my camisole and my kimono. Hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day weekend!

Printed pants have been on my mind and all over Tumblr as of late. It really gives a fun little kick to your work wardrobe. I have the difficult task of dressing according to certain guidelines at work. I was immediately attracted to these pants after a visit to H&M. For trousers they fit me perfectly, not too big and not too fitted (normally everything is oversized). The print gives a little edge without going off the path of “work appropriate”. For a more casual look I’d love to pair these pants with a fun neon tank once summer gets closer!

I’ve been very intrigued by the “sporty” fashion trend I seem to be finding in stores like TopShop and online at NastyGal. Might explain my strange attraction to mesh jerseys lately. Almost unknown to my subconscious I put this outfit together before heading to the office. While I traded out this American Apparel wind breaker for a blazer later in the day it really helped pull the whole sports inspired look together. Not to mention my absolute favorite riding pants I purchased from TopShop. I not only can get away with wearing these at work but they are the most comfortable high waisted pants I have ever worn. The white stripes on the side give this look exactly what it needs, that 80s sport vibe.
