Navy Stripe Puff Sleeve Bardot Crop Top – River Island | Light Brown Paper Bag Waist Skirt – River Island | Bettina Mules – Charlotte Stone | Palm Springs Mini Backpack – Louis Vuitton
Sometimes you get the perfect combination of feminine with a masculine twist. I think this paper bag waist skirt from River Island fits the bill of adding a classic color to a more modern shape. I decided to offset the more masculine elements of the skirt with a really cool off shoulder puffy sleeve striped blouse (tucked in ever so slightly). I really love how the skirt hits so high on the waist so you can easily tuck in a blouse and create a dress like silhouette.
Je T’Aime Fitted Short Sleeve T-Shirt – River Island | White 501 Levis – Shop Future | Lolita Sunglasses – Adam Selman x Le Specs | Kitten Heel Sling Back Sandals – Prada |
I’m so excited to be partnering with one of my favorite brands River Island! For the longest time I was so bummed out to find such incredible pieces but realizing that they were only UK based :(. BUT lucky us, there is now a US site! *Cue applause track. I picked up this adorable tee that reads “I love you forever” in French.
Cobain Pant Tan – I.AM.GIA | Mesh Panel Flame Top – Forever21 | Patent Leather Lace Up Heeled Boots – ASOS | Mini Basket Bucket Chestnut – Cafune |
Cooked up this new look (literally) on one of the hottest weeks in So Cal lately. I buckled down and finally got these amazing pants from I.AM.GIA that are the perfect mix of street style inspired with a feminine twist. They are perfectly high waisted and feature a flattering elastic hemline so you can wear them higher or lower on the leg. To create a really fun somewhat Jeremy Scott inspired look I threw on this mesh back flame crop top from Forever21.
Plaid Trousers – Current Air | Baby Tee – Lacausa | Blackout I’m Tired Denim Jacket – Big Bud | Roll Black Mules – Intentionally Blank | Retro Red Jelly Basket Bag – Sun Jellies | Birdie Sunglasses – Sonix |
It’s been such a wild past week so I apologize in advance for the lag on posting! I had the pleasure of speaking on some panels at WWD Magic in Vegas last week and it’s taken me some time to get recuperated. Being surrounded by some amazing bloggers was such an eye opening experience seeing how this really is a career nowadays! I was gifted these amazing plaid trousers from Current Air at the show and these babies have the perfect tapered bottom and fun belt detailing that looked perfect with something as simple as a tied t-shirt.
Rust Blouse with Side Tie – Just One Answer | Ultra High Rise Levis – RE/Done Denim | Laven Lace Up Kitten Heel Sandal – Jessica Buurman | Vanessa Straw Boater Hat – Urban Outfitters | The Wild Gift Sunglasses – CrapEyewear |
Blogging definitely has it’s ups and downs. There are days where I’m so inspired and am loving what I’m wearing, and of course days where I have something in mind whether outfit based, location based or creative direction based that just doesn’t work out. Today was one of those days where I had a long day at work and had to be creative after the fact. The sun was setting (quickly) and it was one of those moments where no matter where I stood I felt like I wasn’t getting the kind of shot I was looking for.

I had the pleasure of working with ASOS to style a few Summer blouses for you guys to enjoy! I have been a shopper on ASOS for quite some time so it’s one of those OMG OMG OMG moments when you get an email from them with something like this. Still surprises me when I get to work with brands and companies I’ve been such fans of for so long. Ok, back to the clothes, I grabbed a few really feminine pieces for Summer that are easy to wear with shorts, skirts, pants. What I love most about these blouses are that they are lightweight and in turn, perfect for the warm months we are currently living through.
Silk Jumpsuit – Grana | Laven Lace Up Kitten Heel Sandal – Jessica Buurman | Tamar Frayed Utility Jacket – Unpublished Denim |
As you guys know, I have an amazing relationship with Grana and really value their pieces. They have the perfect minimalistic style and high quality fabrics. My most recent piece from them is this silk jumpsuit. Now usually I have some trouble with jumpsuits, sometimes they aren’t super flattering on me just because they are either too long or they don’t hit my waist in the right spot.
Canvas Handkerchief Top – Our Second Nature | High-Waisted Olive Trousers – our Second Nature | Clear Strappy Heeled Mules – Zara | Olive Green Basket Bucket Bag – Cafune |
One of the best parts of being a fashion blogger is getting exposed to up and coming brands like Our Second Nature. They have incredible pieces that incorporate artistic elements and structured minimalistic designs. I’m definitely one for incorporating art print tops and sketch printed pieces into my wardrobe, they add a chic element to any outfit.
Vivienne Top – Flair the Label | Vintage Levis – Collection | Square Toe Mary Janes – Charles Keith | Addicted Bracelet Bag – Parisa Want |
I was really excited a few weeks back to attend a brunch in celebration of Flair the Label’s first year of business! This brand has been a supporter of myself long before I was actually introduced to the label. It was a pleasure being able to speak to Mire (the owner) about the brand and hear how she has been following my blog from it’s early stages. That being said, as we all rounded the table getting to know one another, a lot of people seem to be surprised that 1. I live in Orange County, and 2. I don’t blog for a living.
Taxi Trouser in Mustard – Article& | Short Sleeve Hemp Tee – Jung Maven | Salome Black Leather Lace Up Heels – Lulus | Shirt Jacket – NA-KD | Green Basket Bucket Bag – Cafune |
When you are home sick in bed for three days you start realizing how much you HATE sitting around for three days not accomplishing anything! Luckily I’m finally starting to feel better and I’ve picked back up where I’ve left off. I had an amazing day out in LA with one of my good friends the other day and it was everything I had been needing. We started off with brunch at Bardonna (amazing by the way) and finished the morning off with a bit of shopping.
