Adding in a little bit of a statement skirt into my latest look with this patchwork suede mini from BB Dakota. I know patchwork skirts aren’t anything new, but when they are done so right like it is here, I couldn’t help but feel drawn to styling it. I have recently been binging Friends with my husband before bed and we also visited the Warner Bros studio tour where we got to actually sit on the set!
Happy almost 2017! I’ve been reflecting a lot during the Holidays as well as stressing. A New Year always feels good, refreshing, and a great time to get a new start however the end of a year can seem overwhelming, stressful, and seems like time is running out to get everything you need finished. I’ve been blogging since 2012 and it’s been a whirlwind. This year I saw real growth on all fronts of my blog plus, I achieved my major 2016 goals, attending Fashion Week and traveling more. With trips to San Francisco, New York, Florida, and Big Bear, it really was a year to look back on with pride.
Getting in the Holiday spirit with pops of red silk thanks to Grana. My favorite go-to for basics, their silk collection has got me on one. I’ve already featured one of their silk slip dresses and fell in love. I’ve been absolutely drawn to red lately with accessories and clothing pieces so when this deep red camisole came into my life I knew I had to style it for the Holidays!
Getting immersed in a tres femme dream in this pink silk wrap dress from Esther. Perfectly tailored to hit lower in the front, higher on the sides and sleeves hitting the elbows, it’s the perfect dress to form a feminine figure.
In a world where wearing pajamas is now a thing, I am really enjoying being able to mix lingerie style tops with work appropriate trousers. When you come across a silk cowl cami from Free People on sale you really can’t pass it up, especially when the sale is ON SALE.
Check Point Coat – Tobi | Boyfriend Jeans – Guess(Similar) | Pointed Stud Flats – Zara
Feeling like a true 90s baby with my new Tobi Check Point Coat, which goes perfectly with my recent accumulation of minimalistic pieces. Statement coats are one of my favorite items to splurge on. Since I have a ton of jeans (mom jeans for that matter) and basic tops it makes it easy for an outfit to pop when I’m struggling to get dressed on early mornings. This one is especially comfy and not to mention it is light enough to wear during cool Spring days. I can’t wait to pair this with a simple shift dress when the weather warms up. (you can probably expect this in a future post)
I make it a note to accessorize with statement coats and shoes when I’m in a rush to get ready in the morning. The easiest outfit to put together is a pair of denim, basic top and a statement jacket and shoes. Lately I’ve been having trouble waking up in the morning for work so I’m more than happy to share my easy and fun way of dressing. Not to mention these shoes are killer, who doesn’t like a pointed loafer with studs? Stay tuned for a few additional Tobi posts with some amazing Spring pieces. Can’t wait to show you! Happy Shopping!
I’ve been searching for the perfect coat/blazer combo that brings me that oversized appearance of a coat with the structure of a blazer. Low and behold I find yet another great piece at Forever21 (They really are dragging me back in with their new buying methods). This is a jacket that can easily transition from Winter to Spring and I can’t wait to pair it with some distressed denim and a white tee. When you live in SoCal you need about one good Winter coat and the rest can be a hybrid considering there are only a few days where the temperature drops below 65. Gotta love California sometimes!
I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and that everyone has a safe New Years! So much has happened in 2014 not only did I learn so much about myself, my career, and what I want to ultimately do with my life but I also moved out for the first time, am the mom to a French Bulldog (one of my biggest dreams), and got engaged! All thats left to say is bring it on 2015!
I’m a little obsessed with classic 50s style inspired by favorites like Audrey Hepburn and Lauren Bacall (whom according to an online quiz is my classic actress counterpart). ModCloth has always been my favorite site for classic vintage inspired dresses and accessories. I paired this cute baby doll dress with white heeled loafers, cambridge satchel in red and a simple leather bound wrist watch. Classic simplicity is my favorite way to dress, I wish there was an excuse to dress like this everyday. Oh not to mention my new French Bulldog puppy would really complete my look walking down the streets of New York City ready for brunch!

Fully embracing my 80s rock vibe with these Cleobella Havana Bells paired with a fun muscle tank. Best part of purchasing some bells is that you can pair it with just about anything, graphic tank, white oversized tee, or even a slouchy button up. The greatest thing about these bells compared to others has to be the quality. The fabric used is fitted, flattering, and also thick enough to withstand multiple use and washes. Not to mention the Batik print is perfect to pair with almost any neutral in my wardrobe. It took me awhile but I finally committed to a pair and I couldn’t be happier!
Been obsessing over all white denim as of late. While I have my pair of standard white cropped skinny Hudson’s I have been wanting a pair of distressed Boyfriend Jeans to romp around the beach in. Low and behold I happen to walk by American Eagle and find the perfect pair. Not only did they fit me incredibly well they also were on Sale. Huge plus for me!
Paired them with a relaxed white tee from H&M and my favorite Zara sandals (from last season). There’s something about wearing all white that gives me a tropical vacation getaway vibe.
