The lingerie layering trend is still in full force and I’ve partnered up with BooHoo to create a look based on this trend! Lingerie is becoming more and more versatile and more acceptable to be worn in new and unusual ways. Whether it’s wearing a slip dress under an oversized sweater or (as seen here) throwing on an oversized tee over a strappy bralette.
Major city slipping this week and of course, more and more layering! This black slip from H&M was an amazing deal and its absolutely gorgeous. This is going to be a great piece to wear to any Holiday parties you have coming up (minus the turtleneck). Speaking of this turtleneck, this one is of cashmere descent from Grana. They have the BEST basics ever as you can tell from all of my recent posts.
Blush Off Shoulder Knit – H&M | Velvet Dress – Zara | Neverending Bliss Fur Lined Mule Loafer – Akira | Mini Bucket Bag – Hieleven | Rose Gold/Raw Peach 43mm Watch – Christian Paul
Having a blush and green moment, mixing textures, colors and silhouettes. I picked up this green slip dress for NYFW and am absolutely loving it as an everyday basic. I love the length especially for layering, whether layering under or over.
Decided to dress up a bomber outfit with this co-ord set I created myself! When in doubt, pairing separates is just as good as buying a set together. I threw on a 90s inspired cami top and folded it up for a little cropped action, alongside an older piece of mine, this wrap skirt and my NEW netted sandals.
There’s nothing greater than a fresh pedicure, and a day when your hair and outfit are on point. That’s a triple threat right there. In today’s case I decided to play around with a new summer favorite, the sleeveless jumpsuit.
Pretending it’s fall once again as temperatures reach mid to high seventies this week. I sound like a weather reporter I know but I just want it to feel like October already. I wanted to share my greatest purchase ever, these leather track pants from Urban Outfitters which I had in my hand on in-store a few months back but decided to hold off. I realize now it was for good reason considering I got these babies half off the sale price! While they could have used a little ironing or steaming I decided it was slightly acceptable for them to look more ahem “worn” so I didn’t have to try and figure out how to iron pleather pants before work today.
On a side note, I’m really feeling the frustrations I’m sure most bloggers feel once they have become extremely passionate about their blogs. I’m in a rut where I find myself frustrated over crappy quality lighting/pictures and no one there to take my photos when I’ve thrown together some awesome pieces I’d like to share/document. I feel like there’s so much more potential but being limited to weekends is troubling.
We have experienced the first signs of fall with a little rainfall yesterday. While the rain has already subsided the chilled October air is still present. I’m really glad I purchased this fur jacket by UNIF at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately I didn’t get much wear out of it originally considering Nasty Gal was emptying their inventories for Spring and it never gets below 70s down here. Best part about this jacket is it works best with simple pieces like a white tee and some waxed denim jeans.
It’s the end of pay period so that mean’s I’ll be shopping in my closet until my check clears on Friday! Scooped up this little beaut from the depths of my closet. This is by far the best jacket I have ever purchased from Forever21. The quality is great which is probably why it was priced at $50. While some people show distaste at this price (considering everything in this company is priced at $22.50) I am always willing to pay for quality regardless of the store it’s in. I put on my go-to side slit maxi skirt to get myself through this warm day, unfortunately this skirt might not see the light of day come fall/winter, unless I am wearing my knee high socks (cold girl problems) so I have to make the most of it! Happy Monday!
It’s Saturday and it’s 90 degrees. No sign that I was wearing a sweater and jeans the other day. Threw on my daisy romper, denim vest and studded booties because I said so. With such a loud print this minimalistic necklace pulls the entire look together, thanks to Wild Butterfly Boutique for such a pretty necklace. Gotta love dressing casual on Saturdays. On a side note my grandma gave me this Monsac snake skin bag that my grandpa had purchased for her a long time ago. It’s so chic, I was super excited to have it handed down to me! Hope everyone has an awesome weekend.
I feel like Jennifer Aniston in an episode of Friends. My go to when I’m at a loss for an outfit are my basics, boyfriend jeans, tee and boots. I spiced it up a tad with my t-shirt having a high collar which gives me a little bit of a fall flair. These are some staples worth having in your fall wardrobe. I was gifted this rad pair of necklaces from Wild Butterfly Boutique but unfortunately in the rush to take these pictures this morning I wasn’t aware that their close ups came out blurry. No need to fear however, I will be styling them later this week as well!
On a side note I got my Disneyland pass renewed this past weekend and I have already gone three times, it’s an addiction I swear.
