It’s been such a wild past week so I apologize in advance for the lag on posting! I had the pleasure of speaking on some panels at WWD Magic in Vegas last week and it’s taken me some time to get recuperated. Being surrounded by some amazing bloggers was such an eye opening experience seeing how this really is a career nowadays! I was gifted these amazing plaid trousers from Current Air at the show and these babies have the perfect tapered bottom and fun belt detailing that looked perfect with something as simple as a tied t-shirt.

When you throw on an outfit and it just works, I seriously love it when that happens. I threw on my favorite striped long sleeve knit sweater from Zara with my super soft Zara denim jacket (can you tell I enjoy a Zara piece yeah?).

Keeping it California cool this past weekend with these amazing new cropped striped crepe trousers from Brandy Melville. I love the subtle pin striping that will make it easy to pair with a band tee or white tshirt as the summer months approach.

Happy Holidays! It’s been a crazy December with my brother in law’s wedding, new job, and the Holidays but its been a great 2015 and I’m so happy to have had everyone along with me for the ride! I recently got these amazing nude loafers, I’m absolutely loving my latest collection of shoes in varied colors & styles that are bringing to life my old wardrobe pieces! I went to my closet and found a few of my favorite pieces that really helped these shoes stand out. I’ve had these Zara distressed jeans for a few years now and I have to say I get the most compliments (and jokes) about them, not only are they soft but they are comfy and still in trend! Last year my sister also grabbed this amazingly comfy and oversized turtleneck knit sweater from H&M for me and it makes for the perfect addition to a rainy day wardrobe. Nothing gives you a better grungy vibe than denim on denim so I decided to go this route for my last day of work before the Holiday break. Hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas! Hope you get all the cute clothes you asked for 😉
Denim is never out of style, however, we are breaking the barriers of the “Canadian Tux” and piling on the blues to exponential heights. I found this denim blazer at the Melrose Trading Post awhile back and have found it is the perfect fit to pair with a cute above the knee dress. “Girly” and “Boyfriend” fits are perfectly balanced with just the right amount of leg showing to offset the heavy top half of my body. I wanted to give off the illusion of all denim so I threw on my ASOS cotton dress that has a worn denim look.
I paired this outfit with dark accessories like my Brandy Melville beanie and Zara lunch bag purse to give some additional edge. I picture this outfit strolling along the New York City streets for a day filled with meetings and overpriced lunches.

Long weekends are rare if any but when they do come around, they are usually productive. An addition to my Saturday and Sunday this week included Presidents Day. The three day weekend gave me ample opportunity to shoot a few looks and explore the surrounding cities of Orange County. Downtown Santa Ana proved to be the perfect background for my grunge inspired outfit. Usually the look I run towards when I’m feeling a laid back or lazy day. My favorite piece are my leggings which I found for a steal at $5 a few years back, before the entire pleather legging craze came into play. Definitely in need of a new pair since these have been worn down to bits but it’s one of those pieces you can’t seem to part with. I love mixing male clothing into my outfits, something I’ve been doing since High School. I used to crave for women’s and junior clothing to be baggier and I am so glad that became the new trend, never had been one for that tight t-shirt look. I’m glad I now have a boy to steal clothes from instead of shopping in the Target men’s department, he has better style anyways. In this look I paired my H&M denim jacket with my boyfriends over sized plaid woven shirt, I also tend to throw on statement necklaces to make myself feel more girly. Who would have thought you could be stylish AND comfortable.
