The lingerie layering trend is still in full force and I’ve partnered up with BooHoo to create a look based on this trend! Lingerie is becoming more and more versatile and more acceptable to be worn in new and unusual ways. Whether it’s wearing a slip dress under an oversized sweater or throwing on an oversized tee over a strappy bralette.

Stripe Side Slit Pant – Sans Souci | Gabrielle Tie Neck Pleated Smock Top – BooHoo | Lyndon Lace-Up Sandal – Dolce Vita | Aviator Sunglasses – Ray-Ban
Keeping things fun and exciting with this pair of striped side slit pants from Sans Souci. Seriously the easiest and best way to spice up an outfit without forsaking comfort. My husband asked me why I always dress up so much to go to work (we have no dress code) and my answer is simple,
Lola Sleeveless Duster – BooHoo | Wide Leg White Denim Trousers – Mango (Similar) | Grey Ribbed Turtleneck – PoshSquare | Studded Bag – Zara
Decided to dress a little more upscale today at the office and opted for a pair of wide leg denim trousers and a sleeveless coat. Also the weather has been really odd lately and we have been experiencing some warmth so I could go without a heavy jacket. I decided to go with a tighter top to balance out the heavy bottoms and for some reason I’m opting for outfits that include camel, grey, and white in them. I love that this look really adds a lot of professionalism but is casual enough for my work environment. Any wide leg denim adds a little sophistication to an outfit so I’d highly recommend grabbing some!
Open Front Textured Coat – Forever21 | Tie Neck Pleated Smock Top – BooHoo | BDG Twig High Rise Skinny Jeans – Urban Outfitters | Faux Leather Platform Sandals – BooHoo (Similar) | Tote with Front Pocket – ASOS
In love with this blouse, if only I had remembered to take the coat off during this shoot! But this blouse is beyond adorable, with it’s tie neck collar and sheer chiffon pleating you can’t go wrong. Not to mention (if you could see the sleeves) they have an elastic band on them and have a bit of a kick flare at the end! The perfect top for transitioning from day to night by throwing on a pair of heels and a leather mini! I also finally threw on my wood platform heels as I needed a pair of open toe shoes to get my nails done. I refuse to wear flip flops if I’m going out after getting my nails done haha! This outfit is pretty simple, all black outfit with my newest coat addition from Forever21 that was on MEGA SALE. I was on the hunt for another camel colored coat that was a tad more fitted than my Zara coat and also more lightweight for the coming Spring months! Before you know it, Summer will be around the corner.
Lola Sleeveless Tailored Duster w/ Buttons – BooHoo | Mid-Rise Cigarette Jeans – Zara ON SALE! | Studded Boots – Zara | Ribbed Funnel Neck Swing Sweater – TopShop | Pieces Tote w/ Front Pocket Strap – ASOS | Frayed Edge Scarf – COS
Finally enjoying a brisk day today and had the perfect outfit to match! I opted for my latest purchase, this amazing tan sleeveless duster coat on top of my favorite new TopShop sweater. I’ve been on the hunt for a cute and lightweight sleeveless coat and the dark buttons on this one sealed the deal. I also grabbed these Zara “girlfriend” jeans during their after Christmas sale, I love the super tapered and cropped fit at the bottom while there is some room to breathe up top. Since I was going with a sleeveless coat look I threw on my COS navy scarf to keep this January chill off my neck. Best part about cropped denim is that you can easily see cute ankle boots you might just be wearing.
Hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year! There are a lot of goals for 2016 and one of them being increasing my coffee shop adventures, paying off student loans, and saving more money for a hopeful home buy in 2017!
Riley Raw Hem Denim Top – BooHoo | Lace Up Pant – H&M | Austen Teardrop Panama Hat – Urban Outfitters | Black Chelsea Boot – Zara | Round Sunglasses – RayBan
I think sometimes people forget or don’t realize how much work can go into a blog post. Usually if your someone living in the city you constantly have a great backdrop whether its marble buildings in a financial district or dirty alleyways in the middle of downtown there is always something that can help your outfits live. Being from Orange County it’s a little more difficult to be as creative as you’d like to be (aside from beach photos of course). Fortunately my fiance and I ran across this little deserted bar and it was might I say the perfect backdrop to my edgy urban cowboy look I had going on.
I have a weakness for lace up pants (as some of you might know from my very early on blog posts with my Zara waxed denim favorites, which btw I found after having lost them for most of the year) so when I saw this camel colored pair from H&M I had to grab them. I had been trying to figure out how to style my latest raw hem denim tank I grabbed from BooHoo and if you’ve been following me, you probably realize I’m a big fan of raw hem denim. Actually if you Google “Raw Hem Denim” and check the images, more likely than not one of my photos will pop up. I gravitated towards this top for the overkill of raw hems, plus it has just right amount of cropped action for me to feel comfortable pairing with high waist trousers or low waist skinny jeans (in this case). I will say that this probably was the worst day to wear pants, once I stepped outside and realized it was 90 degrees out I knew I made a mistake. But hey, do it for fashion right?
On a side note, as a lover of online shopping and getting a bargain I’m always on the hunt for coupon codes or other opportunities for me to save online. Case in point, the top I’m wearing in this post I got for an amazing 30% off! Unlike in store sales, most of the time you can find better deals online (although you’ll have to pay for shipping and wait for your goods). Groupon is a great resource for saving because you won’t need to save anything upfront. All coupons are 100% free to use with over 70,000 coupons from more than 9,000 stores, and they are consistently adding new ones daily. Many of these promo codes are unique to Groupon and you don’t need to be a member to use them!
Be sure to check out some of their latest inclusions like Lord & Taylor and one of my personal favorite places to shop ASOS!
