Open Knit Crew – Everlane | Pilcro Superscript Ultra High Rise Wide-Leg Crops – Anthropologie | Simone Wide Fit Mid Heel – ASOS | Piper Toaster Crossbody Red – Fossil
Ok guys, it’s been awhile since I’ve really just posted some straight forward outfit shots of me on the daily. When you get to a certain point in blogging it’s so exciting to be collaborating with brands and beginning to make your hobby feel like it could be turned into a real business! On the flip side, it also means adding on more responsibility to what was once something you just enjoyed doing.
Silk Short Sleeve Shirt – Grana | Ory Sunglasses – Dick Moby | Gucci Leather Logo Belt – Gucci | Mom Jean in Stonewash – ASOS | Waverly Pointed Toe Lace Up Ankle Boot – Grey City |
For my second look with Grana I decided to go more casual. This is something that I would wear to work or to run errands while the weather has begun to cool. I haven’t been able to go ANYWHERE without this Cashmere cardigan by Grana. It’s silhouette is beautiful and not to mention its as soft as can be. Working in an office space where it is often freezing it’s helpful to have a cute cardigan that you can wear with just about any outfit that also allows you to move and function while at work.
Japanese Oxford Square Shirt – Everlane | Mom Jeans in Jana Stone Wash – ASOS | Oversized Fishnet Socks – ASOS | Suede Heel Mule – ASOS
Spicing up a white poplin blouse via Everlane with some fun accessories. I also picked up a new pair of ASOS denim (in my favorite cut) that are the perfect degree of distressed while also maintaining their high waisted, slim hips and leg and crop to help make me appear taller. I love ASOS denim simply because there are options on the length of the jeans. I know a lot of places have this as well, however no one has the kind of cuts that ASOS does.
Wide Sleeve Top – NA-KD | Guess Mom Jeans – Thrifted (Similar) | Samia Sandals – Charlotte Stone | Overnight Celebrity Zip front Backpack – LaModa | Leather Western Tip Waist and Hip Belt – ASOS |
Pulling out the big guns with this lace wide sleeve crop top and a pair of classic thrifted denim boyfriend jeans. I love creating contrast with a light wash denim with dark black accents. I also had to throw in some color (and a little height)
Taking in the 70s yet again but putting a modern twist on it (literally) with this wrap tie front skirt I grabbed from ASOS! I decided to style the skirt with a cropped tie front short sleeve button down to give a little bit of a menswear vibe since the skirt is so feminine (not to mention a tad sexy and makes your legs look great). You can never catch me being too girly when it comes to styling pieces. I like everything to balance out if we are talking about everyday wear (work, school, errands, etc) so I’m not so girly or so casual. Having a wardrobe like this makes it easy to make all of my outfits go from day to night with just a few accessories removed/added. After seeing wrap skirts on Pinterest and of course, Reformation’s infamous piece I knew I had to give the trend a shot!
I’m going to have a few fun giveaways coming up so be sure to follow me on Instagram to participate in the fun!
Simple dresses and obnoxiously large jewelry is where it’s at. I got both of these pieces from ASOS which is one of my go-to’s for my staple pieces like tees, dresses, and jeans. I noticed something was missing from my dress collection (which has recently become smaller), a simple dress that can be thrown on under my assortment of jackets, can be paired with cute tights or socks and can be worn with my knee high boots. The button detailing down the front also gives it some extra flair that I haven’t found in many skater dresses.
Now let’s talk about this necklace, I can’t wait to throw this on with all of my oversized tees and distressed shorts this summer. I’ve never been a huge jewelry girl, normally sticking to staple pieces like my ring collection and a basic short chained necklace however I really like the idea of spicing up a somewhat plain jane outfit with something so drastic as this necklace. If you are looking to rework your wardrobe adding some statement jewelry pieces are a fun, simple, and cheap way to do it. Happy Monday friends!
90s Skater Dress with Buttons and 3/4 sleeves – ASOS
I’m in love with these jeans from ASOS. After seeing them on The Native Fox I really loved the fit and color. I’m always hesitant to buy jeans online since I’m not always aware of my sizing (especially UK sizing) but I gave it my best effort and ended up with the perfect soft pair of denim that hugs you in all the right places. Kept it simple with a black tank and my green army button up. Perfect outfit for spiced iced chais, pastries, and a perfect view of the ocean.
Ridley Supersoft High Waist Ultra Skinny Jeans – ASOS
It’s been getting harder and harder to go shooting on the weekends with so many things going on so unfortunately I am stuck with getting creative in my backyard. The lighting was really spectacular this morning however and gave me a halo effect with all of the back light. I recently purchased a couple of items from 2020Ave that are going to be great not only during this heat wave in So Cal but also during fall. The pieces are very feminine so I will really enjoy pairing them with leather, tweed, and pastels this fall.
I had a request to do a few different looks with these Gap boyfriend jeans and I am trying to fit them in as much as possible! They are so versatile I could wear them everyday. Not to mention I have never felt more freedom in a pair of jeans in my life.
High Waisted Boyfriend Jeans – Gap Denim(Melrose Trading Post)
Theres something about silky shorts and leather that makes me crazy. I’m on a hunt for a pair of shorts similar to the beautiful ones by Lover but are unfortunately not within my budget constraints. Along with pairing it with something structured like the leather top above, I would love to pair it with a few of my soft flowy tops from say Brandy Melville. These boots from Zara are on my “to buy” list and should be mine within the next few days.
Basics with a little flair are especially great to buy if you are running on limited funds. The pieces above may appear basic but the various textures and subtle details are what make them perfect additions to your closet. Happy Thursday!
