Apres-Ski Knit Sweater – Solo Six | Cropped Wide Leg Dark Denim Jeans – & Other Stories | Heeled Oxford – Everlane | Otaat Myers Ring Pouch Camel – Blancsom | Matte Liquid Lip Brick – Dose of Colors | Gucci Logo Belt – Gucci
The most perfect sweater has now come into my life. This Apres-Ski Sweater from Solo Six is something out of a 70s or 80s dream. The cut and coloring is something that I was immediately drawn to and couldn’t wait to style! Has me kind of feeling like I should be an extra in Stranger Things or something #amiright??
Linen Overall Dress – Forever21 | White Scoop Neck Vest – TopShop | Black Boater Hat – Yellow108 (Similar) | Black Bulcher Shoe – Zara
Ever since overalls came back full force I have been wanting an overall (pinafore) dress to go along with it. Low and behold I couldn’t take my eyes off this linen overall dress from Forever21 when I first came across it. The curse of being a good online shopper is that your bound to run into the cutest stuff in the black hole that is F21.com. Luckily I actually stumbled across this in store unintentionally so I was able to try it on and seal the deal. Not to mention that day I received a 40% off in store one day only coupon and had to use it (side note: Forever21’s email newsletters are actually really useful and fun). This little number was perfect for the scorcher that was Tuesday in Los Angeles. For some odd reason every time I make a trip out there its on the hottest day of the month. Just my luck I suppose? I attended my first press preview on Tuesday and it was amazing. The space the PR agency rents out as their office can also be used as a live-in studio. The location is perfect (right off Hollywood Blvd) and the rooftop was the raddest spot to snap a few photos. If only my office had that kind of view!
Positives of this outfit was the linen blend fabric being so breezy, negatives, the same linen fabric wrinkles soooo easily. I’d recommend getting this one in black for that reason, you can’t really argue with the cuteness for the price.
I’m really looking forward to bigger and better things with my blog. Unfortunately working full time I have to really pick and choose what events I can attend based on, work, traffic, time off, etc. But I am so grateful for the amazing people and brands that have approached me thus far. Just know I love working with you all and most of all thank you to my supporters and readers out there who actually enjoy looking at this stuff!
Lace-Up Nautical Top – TopShop | Flared Clean Wash Jean – Forever21 | White Blazer – H&M Target | Taupe Strappy Heel – Forever21
A crowd pleaser and crowd favorite, the striped tee. This one however comes with a little twist, or should I say tie. The lace up detailing made this one a no brainer purchase (not to mention you have a little more encouragement when shopping in Vegas). I’ve noticed a depletion in the tops & blouses category in my closet, while I love the ability to throw on a t-shirt, sometimes I need something with more detail and draws more attention. This look as you guessed it was inspired by the recent 70s revamp we have seen this season! You can go ahead and say it, again with the 70s mantra? But seriously I just can’t help myself. Porter magazine also gave me some serious inspiration hence for the silk inspired neck tie (thanks sis). When your jewelry ain’t cutting it a silk printed scarf is a great alternative. Also I am still madly in love with my wide leg denim, just don’t tell my 15 year old self I went back ok?

Let’s all take a minute to give thanks go the fashion gods for bringing some 70s fashion back into modern times. As with all trends, they usually are just reestablished trends from the past, but with some upgrades. I have a feeling my spring wardrobe will consist of suede minis, gladiator sandals, knee high boots, denim mini dresses, and plenty of subtle fringe accents. My spring trend color palette will also consist of khaki, army green, white, dark denim, and of course brown. My take on this trend: a mix of 70s textures and patterns but with a mod twist (short hemlines, clean lines, etc) Shop my picks above!
Very much inspired by the 70s as of late. Here are a few items that are a must have for me.
Bandit Brand – If you want some iconic 70s inspired tees that give you a mix of rock n’roll and a western outlaw look no further. Their lace tanks are perfect to pair with some high waisted denim and booties.
Mattise Footwear – The Keegan bootie is the perfect neutral for your bell bottoms any day of the week. Looking like you stepped off of a dude ranch in style.
Spell – An incredible assortment of feminine, bohemian, free spirited clothing that keeps you on your toes. They have the kind of designs that would look good on or off.
