Open Knit Crew – Everlane | Pilcro Superscript Ultra High Rise Wide-Leg Crops – Anthropologie | Simone Wide Fit Mid Heel – ASOS | Piper Toaster Crossbody Red – Fossil
Ok guys, it’s been awhile since I’ve really just posted some straight forward outfit shots of me on the daily. When you get to a certain point in blogging it’s so exciting to be collaborating with brands and beginning to make your hobby feel like it could be turned into a real business! On the flip side, it also means adding on more responsibility to what was once something you just enjoyed doing.
Cropped Wide Leg Trousers
Not sure if you guys can tell but I’m obsessing over high waisted, cropped wide leg denim for Spring. They are the perfect silhouette for almost everyone, so long as the pants are hemmed appropriately for your height! I love how the style gives off that vintage flair yet modernizes any outfit and allows you to look dressed up with minimal effort! I think having the cropped length and wide leg bottoms also provide a nice (and “cool” way) to adjust your wardrobe for Spring when the weather is in it’s most mild and comfortable place. I am dying to purchase a pair of Jesse Kamm trousers that I KNOW are absolutely gorgeous but also come with a hefty price tag. I’d suggest trying a pair in a similar style for less and seeing how they pair up before making the plunge (which is exactly what I intend on doing). I’ve been pairing mine with fitted sweaters and tees and midi heels or sandals.
High Waist Slim Denim
A second strong choice is my go-to denim, high waisted with straight or skinny legs. Many would traditionally consider these “mom” jeans but I tell you if you can get a modernized pair (not thrifted) you will find they are extremely flattering. My favorite style has to be the Farleigh jeans from ASOS as well as their version of the “mom” jean. ASOS is an amazing place to find upcoming brands at reasonable prices, plus their own in house brands are one of my favorite. Whether distressed or your traditional wash, these jeans are the easiest to transition into Spring. Just imagine a few flowy floral blouses tucked in with a big logo belt. Shop my pairs above!
Brush Jumpsuit by Just Female – Blancsom | Faux Fur Coat – TopShop | Black Ankle Boots – Dolce Vita |
Letting this black jumpsuit by Just Female speak for itself with this look. I particularly am fond of the small collars and cross front style that makes this jumpsuit flattering and easy to wear. Since it was a colder day I decided to bring out my new Topshop faux fur coat that I recently purchased for my upcoming trip to New York.
The most perfect sweater has now come into my life. This Apres-Ski Sweater from Solo Six is something out of a 70s or 80s dream. The cut and coloring is something that I was immediately drawn to and couldn’t wait to style! Has me kind of feeling like I should be an extra in Stranger Things or something #amiright??
All Frills Cozy Ruffled Sweater – Akira | Cropped Knit Dungarees – Zara | Casse Studded Wooden Heel Boot – Jessica Buurman | Mini Bucket Bag – Hieleven | Gucci Logo Belt – Gucci
Went for a full blown knit look this past weekend with this cool weather front that came into Southern California. I was out in Pasadena this past weekend working a convention for my day job. If you aren’t familiar with it, IMATS is a makeup trade show and let me tell you that it’s INSANE. Insanely busy, yet fun and rewarding.
Double Breasted Striped Blazer – H&M | Striped Pant – H&M | Bad Habits Tee – TopShop | Lace Up Mid Pointed Toe Ankle Boot – ASOS
Suiting up today in this matching suit set from H&M! My awesome sister got this for me this year for Christmas and I’ve been itching to wear it since! I also recently updated my hair with a little bang action. It definitely had me feeling refreshed and new for the year! It also prompted me to wear this outfit immediately afterwards.
Happy almost 2017! I’ve been reflecting a lot during the Holidays as well as stressing. A New Year always feels good, refreshing, and a great time to get a new start however the end of a year can seem overwhelming, stressful, and seems like time is running out to get everything you need finished. I’ve been blogging since 2012 and it’s been a whirlwind. This year I saw real growth on all fronts of my blog plus, I achieved my major 2016 goals, attending Fashion Week and traveling more. With trips to San Francisco, New York, Florida, and Big Bear, it really was a year to look back on with pride.
Silk V-Neck Slip Dress – Grana | Mesh Shirt – Zara | Lace Up Point Mid Heeled Ankle boot – ASOS | Faux Fur Teddy Bear Jacket – H&M | Gucci Logo Belt – Neiman Marcus | Elise Ring Tote Bag – Jessica Buurman
Holiday’s aren’t over quite yet! I’m bringing a few different New Years inspirational looks as we head into 2017. Grana as I’ve mentioned before is one of my favorite clothing brands, their simplistic take on wardrobe essentials with optimal quality is something everyone should take into their wardrobe. I’ve paired one of their stunning silk slip dresses in red with a mesh long sleeve tee and some killer patent leather lace up mid heeled ankle boots.
Getting in the Holiday spirit with pops of red silk thanks to Grana. My favorite go-to for basics, their silk collection has got me on one. I’ve already featured one of their silk slip dresses and fell in love. I’ve been absolutely drawn to red lately with accessories and clothing pieces so when this deep red camisole came into my life I knew I had to style it for the Holidays!
I’ve been on the hunt for a great cropped hoodie to add to my athleisure line of my closet and low and behold my amazing friend Susan at Corinne Collection came out with the softest and cutest one yet! I love the unique neckline on top of the olive tones which are a HUGE color for me this winter!
