Fall Lookbook ft. Shopbop

October 30, 2020

I always have the most interesting times when inspiration just hits. I was chatting with a friend about heading out to shoot some Fall content and while I don’t normally stick to “seasonal” shoots it felt really creative and cool to do something different. My good friend Vincent also shot all of these photos and he’s AMAZING. I put a mood board together and while the lighting wasn’t at all what my board had on it we made it work and I’m so happy with the result.

We started our trip out by heading to this really cute apple orchard. It’s a farm that also does historical reenactments too so that was fun haha. While we didn’t stay for that (the crowds were kind of insane) we walked around the property and found the cutest little spots to shoot some looks at. There’s something about seeing a bunch of apple trees, cute little barns and houses and a pumpkin patch to put you in the Fall mood. After we said goodbye to the sheep at the farm we stopped by Palm Springs to rest up before we went out to adventure the next day at some sand dunes.

Again, weather wasn’t on our side but we made it work and the result is absolutely amazing. It felt almost other worldly being there and I’m so happy the pieces I picked for this particular location really worked out. I wanted to create something unique with each look which is challenging when the landscape is basically the exact same no matter where you look. But Vincent really nailed it, and my friend Jasmine came in clutch with the reflector. I’ve never been one to lean towards the editorial style imagery. Maybe it was a lack of confidence but I’m so sad I waited this long to give it a try.
