I am having a love affair with belting blazers and I’m so happy I found this piece from Pendleton when I was off on a thrifting adventure a few weeks back. I usually hesitate with these kind of pieces but I knew deep down I would get A LOT of use out of it. I love seeing houndstooth and plaid prints coming back into Fall Fashion and with the comeback of Women’s power suits I definitely think there are cool ways of creating menswear inspired looks with a feminine touch.
If you guys know me, you know I’m a big fan of watches. Always have been and always will be! Prior to the entire world having a cell phone attached to them, I counted on watches for me to always know how much longer I had in my Spanish class before we had lunch around the corner.
Feeling like I’m back to my roots with this street style inspired look. I of course am layering again, so this sheer black blouse has been in heavy rotation. I decided to go early 2000s style with a long sleeve tee layered under a fun graphic tee from Zara. While I was a big advocate for graphic tees making their way out, I’m becoming another fan of them making their way back in (things always come back faster than you think).

The art of layering is a fine one, and one that I’m constantly expanding on. I can’t get enough of this mock neck trumpet sleeve blouse from H&M that I previously wore in this post where I layered a slinky bralette on top. In this instance I’ve switched it up a bit and placed the blouse underneath the poplin shirt! I love how well these two pieces fit together and let me know this is something NOT planned.
Major city slipping this week and of course, more and more layering! This black slip from H&M was an amazing deal and its absolutely gorgeous. This is going to be a great piece to wear to any Holiday parties you have coming up (minus the turtleneck). Speaking of this turtleneck, this one is of cashmere descent from Grana. They have the BEST basics ever as you can tell from all of my recent posts.
As Fall and Winter are coming in hot (literally) here is my list of must have boots and this seasons trends. Enjoy!
Floral Ankle Boots – A huge trend is literally the Mary Poppins bag / your grandmas old curtains fabric made into adorable ankle boots. I know it might be hard to picture what kind of outfit you can pair with this but let’s just envision an oversized white button up, fitted mom jeans and these boots. Enough said.
Glitter Boots – Let’s talk about spicing up your shoe game with some glitter. Perfect for Holiday parties and for ringing in the New Year, these are pure statement shoes and are meant to be worn as such. Dress them up or down, that’s the beauty of these babies!
Loafer Boot – We can’t deny that loafers are definitely having a moment, but now combining them with a traditional ankle boot? Mind…blown. Personally I’m a HUGE fan of them as you can see from the ones I’m wearing above via Roberto Durville are a great addition to my wardrobe PLUS they are just so unique looking that they immediately spice up an outfit. I also just love how classic loafers look and make you feel so placing them on a boot is a MUST for fall.
Lace Up Boot – Last but definitely NOT least is the lace up pointed toe boot! I’ve definitely seen a few of my favorite bloggers like Danielle from We Wore What sporting some Dior babies but for those of us on a tighter budget it’s nice to see some more reasonably priced pieces coming onto the market. My favorites are currently by Grey City and called the Waverly Boot. They give you a tiny lift in the heel but the pointed toe and lace up action really elongate the leg and make these the perfect boots to wear with dresses, pants or skirts of any length. The leather is SUPER soft and make them easy to break in. I definitely can’t get enough of this style boot. It has an edge yet femininity to them and that’s definitely my aesthetic 😉

For my second look with Grana I decided to go more casual. This is something that I would wear to work or to run errands while the weather has begun to cool. I haven’t been able to go ANYWHERE without this Cashmere cardigan by Grana. It’s silhouette is beautiful and not to mention its as soft as can be. Working in an office space where it is often freezing it’s helpful to have a cute cardigan that you can wear with just about any outfit that also allows you to move and function while at work.

Fall transitions are in full swing and I’ve partnered up with Grana to bring you a few of my favorite ways to style knitwear & silks this season! First off let me tell you that olives, dark forest greens, blush, burnt orange and camel are my go-to palette for fall. I think adding in color during the seasonal change really spices things up and let’s you play around with colors other than grey and black that we so often cling to during Fall & Winter.
Now that it’s November I’m so getting really excited for the coming Holidays! While the Holidays always mean busy workweeks and even busier weekends, I definitely love the feeling of begin able to plan for fun events with my family. I threw together this look the other morning and felt it was the perfect kind of look to wear to your next Holiday event!
Getting pumped up for Fall with this rust colored coat & pleated romper combo. I absolutely adore this coat, it’s lightweight, soft and the PERFECT color for fall. With the ever changing temperatures in So Cal it’s only fitting to pair a romper with a bulce coat. This romper is a great piece, I paired it with a high waisted belt to create a more feminine touch and pointed toe ankle boots by my new favorite shoe brand Grey City.
