Ribbed Funnel Neck Ribbed Sweater – TopShop | White Tunic T-shirt – H&M (Similar) | Grey Raw Hem Denim Jeans – Zara (Similar) | Large Aviator Sunglasses – Ray-Ban | Neck Scarf – H&M | Lace-up Ballerina Flats – 2020ave | Black Denim Jacket – Thrifted
Nothing quite like the look of layers, if done appropriately! (not talking thin and thick strapped tank tops, hello early 2000s). I threw on a few of my favorites for todays look! I always love going into my closet and pulling some of my favorite items because lets be honest, we can’t always have a new piece to show off! If you want to spice up an oversized sweater I recommend pairing it with a longline t-shirt in a different color to add a little dimension to your look. In this case I grabbed my TopShop navy knit oversized sweater and an H&M tunic. I also threw on a neck scarf instead of a necklace since my lack of prints (and color) made the outfit a little bland. I love mixing textures and colors so I threw on a denim jacket over my shoulders and my lace up flats and I was ready for a casual day in the office.
I’m also in love with these Ray-Ban aviators if you haven’t noticed. I am a big fan and supporter of investing in good sunglasses so it’s been such a pleasure to be part of DITTO and their monthly sunglass subscription service. Use code: UnconsciousStyle for your first month free! With your subscription you have access to a large assortment of designer sunglasses that you can interchange out whenever you please! For people like myself, its an incredible service to have new sunglasses whenever I need!
Lola Sleeveless Duster – BooHoo | Wide Leg White Denim Trousers – Mango (Similar) | Grey Ribbed Turtleneck – PoshSquare | Studded Bag – Zara
Decided to dress a little more upscale today at the office and opted for a pair of wide leg denim trousers and a sleeveless coat. Also the weather has been really odd lately and we have been experiencing some warmth so I could go without a heavy jacket. I decided to go with a tighter top to balance out the heavy bottoms and for some reason I’m opting for outfits that include camel, grey, and white in them. I love that this look really adds a lot of professionalism but is casual enough for my work environment. Any wide leg denim adds a little sophistication to an outfit so I’d highly recommend grabbing some!
Decided to dress a tad more sophisticated today but with a little added comfort. I feel like this is a true We Wore What style outfit mixing a sexy pencil midi skirt and sneakers! Also, it might be hard to see but these slip on vans are made up of leather blush material, so needless to say they are #goals. As I’ve mentioned many a time, I’m obsessed with the color blush right now so I’m slowly but surely incorporating it into my entire wardrobe. I threw on this pencil midi skirt with a white t-shirt and a camel colored coat for the ultimate in New York streetwear style. Mixing business and comfort, even though we drive everywhere here in good ole Cali.
Mustard Knit Sweater – COS | Button-Front Corduroy Skirt – Urban Outfitters | Neck Scarf – H&M | Janine Over the Knee Boots – EGO | Studded Structured Handbag – Zara
Adding a little color into your wardrobe can be fun, especially when you mix colored chunky knit sweaters into your fashion routine. I picked up this mustard yellow knit sweater from COS the other day during their big sale. I am a big fan of COS however I have resisted the urge to splurge during the year and opted to wait it out for their sales. At 50% off you can’t go wrong, their quality is impeccable and I’ve already worn the pieces I’ve purchased from them at least a handful of times (more than a lot of my other wardrobe can say) I decided to throw on a cute mini skirt and a neck scarf to really add some 70s vibes into this look. This is the perfect outfit to go shopping in and catch up with some friends. It’s simple but looks extremely thought out, with the right accessories, the pop of color and over the knee boots, you are sure to turn some heads.
I also picked up this studded doctors bag from Zara (also on sale) and I’m so in love! Its the perfect size for my crazy amount of things I carry with me plus it has that tinge of edge that I have been missing from my recent purse purchases. In the past, every single bag I owned had some sort of stud on it. I’m still recovering from this past weekend at IMATS, I must say that I”m becoming quite the beauty snob haha, hopefully practice makes perfect with my newfound makeup techniques!
In love with this blouse, if only I had remembered to take the coat off during this shoot! But this blouse is beyond adorable, with it’s tie neck collar and sheer chiffon pleating you can’t go wrong. Not to mention (if you could see the sleeves) they have an elastic band on them and have a bit of a kick flare at the end! The perfect top for transitioning from day to night by throwing on a pair of heels and a leather mini! I also finally threw on my wood platform heels as I needed a pair of open toe shoes to get my nails done. I refuse to wear flip flops if I’m going out after getting my nails done haha! This outfit is pretty simple, all black outfit with my newest coat addition from Forever21 that was on MEGA SALE. I was on the hunt for another camel colored coat that was a tad more fitted than my Zara coat and also more lightweight for the coming Spring months! Before you know it, Summer will be around the corner.
In love with my latest addition to my family of heels, these Simmi Shoes strappy sandals. They are the perfect piece to transition from day to night. Throw them on with a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans and a cute blouse for the perfect daytime look OR create an evening look (like above) with a camel t-shirt dress and overcoat with a crossbody bag.
Oversize Roll-Neck Sweater – COS | Culottes – Zara | Tan Loafers – Zara | Leather Jacket – Mango (Similar) | Messenger Box Bag – JCOS Studios
Winter to Spring color palette includes blush, blush, and more blush! I seriously can’t get enough of this color, while I’ve never been big on pink, theres something about this pastel tone that seems to match my skin tone really well. I’ve been reaping the benefits of after Christmas sales and although I’m bummed the holidays are over, I’m pretty excited to be spending some gift cards on some amazing steals. One being this COS mock neck blush oversized sweater which was HALF OFF. I also paired them with my latest pair of black culottes (also on sale) from Zara for the ultimate minimalistic look. For some added height I also grabbed my blush pointed toe loafers and my JCOS Studios buckle bag. A minimal menswear look with a pop of color is always a great go-to!
Lola Sleeveless Tailored Duster w/ Buttons – BooHoo | Mid-Rise Cigarette Jeans – Zara ON SALE! | Studded Boots – Zara | Ribbed Funnel Neck Swing Sweater – TopShop | Pieces Tote w/ Front Pocket Strap – ASOS | Frayed Edge Scarf – COS
Finally enjoying a brisk day today and had the perfect outfit to match! I opted for my latest purchase, this amazing tan sleeveless duster coat on top of my favorite new TopShop sweater. I’ve been on the hunt for a cute and lightweight sleeveless coat and the dark buttons on this one sealed the deal. I also grabbed these Zara “girlfriend” jeans during their after Christmas sale, I love the super tapered and cropped fit at the bottom while there is some room to breathe up top. Since I was going with a sleeveless coat look I threw on my COS navy scarf to keep this January chill off my neck. Best part about cropped denim is that you can easily see cute ankle boots you might just be wearing.
Hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year! There are a lot of goals for 2016 and one of them being increasing my coffee shop adventures, paying off student loans, and saving more money for a hopeful home buy in 2017!
