Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas! I was definitely feeling the winter chill these past few days with the winds and this cold front. I opted to try out my latest over the knee boots from EGO shoes that are the perfect winter accessory. I’d been on the hunt for a cute pair of boots like these but was struggling finding a pair that looked cute and were a good price. These babies definitely hit the spot, plus they are comfy and fit over my skinny jeans so I’ll have multiple ways to wear! Today I decided to go with a cross front skirt and another newbie, a ribbed turtleneck top by Poshsquare that adds a classic yet somewhat sexy touch to this look. Since it was incredibly windy as well I had to throw on a beanie to save myself the trouble of having my hair a hot mess for the day, but I must say, it seemed to really top off this look!

Happy Holidays! It’s been a crazy December with my brother in law’s wedding, new job, and the Holidays but its been a great 2015 and I’m so happy to have had everyone along with me for the ride! I recently got these amazing nude loafers, I’m absolutely loving my latest collection of shoes in varied colors & styles that are bringing to life my old wardrobe pieces! I went to my closet and found a few of my favorite pieces that really helped these shoes stand out. I’ve had these Zara distressed jeans for a few years now and I have to say I get the most compliments (and jokes) about them, not only are they soft but they are comfy and still in trend! Last year my sister also grabbed this amazingly comfy and oversized turtleneck knit sweater from H&M for me and it makes for the perfect addition to a rainy day wardrobe. Nothing gives you a better grungy vibe than denim on denim so I decided to go this route for my last day of work before the Holiday break. Hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas! Hope you get all the cute clothes you asked for 😉

There’s nothing I enjoy more than a giant knit sweater, especially one with a mock neck and thats navy! I’m really loving the change up my wardrobe has been having lately with the addition of fun colors and textures. Navy is one of my new loves and this TopShop sweater was a serious steal over Black Friday plus its the perfect bit of oversized knitwear without looking too swallowed up. It’s also a tighter chunky knit so I’m not freezing when the wind blows. On this particular day I decided to pair my comfy sweater with an equally comfortable pair of thrifted Guess boyfriend jeans. Top it all off with a pair of white converse and my latest teddy bear coat obsession which I haven’t taken off since this cold front has entered So Cal.

Hope you lovelies are having a great week, I seriously can’t believe its almost Christmas! I’m definitely getting some last minute shopping done. Luckily I have a ton of creative friends who are able to make some fun and unique gifts when I”m at a loss (and budget).

Khaki Suede Boots

It’s starting to feel a lot like winter. There’s been a major cold front streaming through Southern California and I’m finally ready for winter! My wardrobe however was lacking in a major piece, a nice black coat. After what seemed like an endless search for something sleek yet within my budget of under $60 I felt like I would never find exactly what I was looking for. Then I came across this teddy bear black coat at H&M. While it wasn’t the exact “sleek” looking coat I had envisioned I still loved the look and had to try it on. Low and behold it was PERFECT and kudos to me that day for wearing an outfit it looked cute with. After passing on the coat TWICE after trying to be good and save my money it finally went on sale for 50% off and I threw all excuses out the window not to buy it. Since then, I’ve worn it pretty much every day since its my coziest piece that seems to match pretty much anything I’m wearing.

I also got my newest pair of boots in the mail post all of my Black Friday shopping. I grabbed this pair from Simmi Shoes, the perfect spot for on trend pieces at a ridiculously great price point. Also although they are based over in Europe, their shipping was really fast and I even went the standard route during Black Friday! I have to say I’m going to be repping Simmi a lot more after having this amazing first experience. I decided to go with a khaki pair of square toe block heeled ankle boots. For awhile I had been sticking with classic black pairs of shoes since I seemed to only be drawn to those pairs in my closet, but recently after getting a little bored of my selection I’ve been branching out. I must say the khaki color really goes with a ton of my wardrobe pieces and the heel height is perfect for walking around all day in without feeling like my feet will fall off at the end of the day.

It always feels good to see all of my sale/Black Friday steals coming together in one look!

I’m always on the hunt for cute local coffee shops and I was surprised to see that I had missed an opening literally down the street from my house! Tucked away in an office compound, Neat Coffee features a simple menu, cute pastries, and delicious local almond milk to create their masterpieces. This shop is unique compared to others as it shares space with a joint work space that is rentable to anyone needing creative space. I love the small homey feeling of this place, seats scattered out front, with a line almost always out the door (but don’t worry its only about 3 deep). I’d definitely give this one a try if you are an OC native! Also don’t forget to grab a punch card when you’re there!

When my closet gets a little dull and I’m looking to add some spice into some old pieces because, come on, we all can’t afford a new set of clothes every week, I tend to shop for accessories. For a year or so now I’ve been looking for a cute baseball cap to add a casual look to some of my city sleek looks. Unfortunately I have an odd shaped head and my face (and hair) doesn’t always agree with standard baseball caps. Luckily I came across Scotch & Soda during my trip to South Coast Plaza over Black Friday weekend. Might I add as well that I majorly SCORED on Black Friday and you’ll be seeing some of my purchases coming up (don’t worry I also bought tons of Christmas gifts as well).

I woke up this particular morning feeling very casual as I was going to be spending the day out and about so I threw on some black raw hem denim skinnies, an oversized button up and my handy dandy faux leather bomber jacket. The baseball cap really seemed to top it off. I can’t wait to wear this hat alongside some of my wrap coats and my biker jacket with some dresses! There’s nothing I love more than mixing and matching edgy, girly, and masculine pieces.
