Finally took the plunge and purchased this button down corduroy skirt in black from Urban Outfitters. It’s been a great piece to pair with sweaters, button ups and some off shoulder tops. Transitioning from day to night is made real easy with this little number. Today I paired it with one of my favorite new pieces, this soft mock neck sweater that tucks perfectly into the slight high waist of the skirt. This is one of the greatest pieces you can purchase as a staple in your wardrobe. You can make it more modern or keep it classic with the 70s vibe.
I also have been wearing these heeled mules by Shelley’s London with my everyday wardrobe. They are exactly what I look for in everyday heels, not too high and they are also slimming on your leg. It’s finally getting a little chillier here in So Cal so I’m very excited to pair this skirt with some of my tights and knee high boots for evenings out!

It’s all in the details, open back tied tops with a dollman fit really attracted me to this blush blouse from 2020ave. I have been searching high and low for a feminine minimalistic blush style top and was so pleased to find this one right away in the new-items section of the site. I’ve never been a fan of the color pink for as long as I can remember but something about a muted pink nowadays has me swooning. Currently I’m lusting over a blush bucket bag by Baggu to add into my collection. I’m also hoping to add some blush into my home decor situation as well. Rose gold & blush are what I like to consider some of the classiest pairing of colors out there.
Hope everything is gearing up for Black Friday! I’ve got some of my Black Friday picks from a couple of my favorite retailers coming up so be sure to follow on Bloglovin for updates!
Loving this marled color mix of my new Zara polo neck sweater. The top is cropped just in the slightest so you are free to wear it with mid rise to high rise pants or trousers. I love the versatility and not to mention it’s soft and lightweight for layering! It was a tad on the cooler side today so I threw on a pair of my tapered trousers and my favorite COS black socks. I’ve been choosing boots or flats with most of my looks lately so I decided to change it up with a pair of blucher shoes which have a slight block heel that helps add some height to my look without taking away comfort.
Also just grabbed a new pair of sunnies from Ditto and remember use code UNCONSCIOUSSTYLE to get your first month free! I love the smaller and cat eye shape of these Ray-Bans. Hope everyone is gearing up for Black Friday next week! I’ll be collecting some of my favorite pieces together on my wish list because I mean I’ve been really really good this year
I’ve recently connected with an upcoming clothing brand entitled COSSAC. Their modern minimalistic styles focus on construction and quality while also making a movement towards eco fashion by designing affordable ECO-HOT garments. I spoke with designer Agatka Natalia Kozac to talk about how she got started! Read more below:
1. Give us a little background on yourself
2. How did you get into fashion and fashion design?
I’m originally from Poland. I lived and studied fashion design in Barcelona and Istanbul before I moved to London 5 years ago to work as a fashion designer. I have worked for many brands across high street and high end which gave me insight of how wasteful fashion industry can be. I always wanted to have my own brand and starting a sustainable fashion label was a natural next step after all my professional experiences.
3. What is your biggest inspiration when designing?
I think of our everyday needs but add a trend twist to them. I find it very exciting how in fashion design you can combine art and functionality. I take my inspirations from travels, magazines, fashion history, art exhibitions and catwalks but most importantly from observing everyday life and street style.
4. What does the COSSAC brand represent?
COSSAC stands for ECO HOT design; we embrace the idea of sustainability, promoting eco fashion and clothing with a lower environmental impact. From a perfect white tee to eye-catching statement pieces, each season we create a minimal and sleek collection that adapt to the current fashion trends yet stays timeless. Our mission is to promote transparency in the fashion world and to produce quality garments that are sustainable in both manufacture and design, without sacrificing on style. Our garments are an alternative to the often-wasteful fashion industry; we want to start a change in the way people perceive fashion and want to promote more responsible and conscious consumer behaviours. So ask yourself; ‘How are my clothes made?’
5. What are your goals for COSSAC in the coming years?
We want to promote the brand in other countries; especially in the US and far East Asia. We have a lot of interesting collaborations planned with other brands, artists and photographers. We want to continue our mission of educating the customer and proving that sustainable fashion can be fresh, sassy and ECO HOT.
As I’m sure many of you know who follow my Instagram, I have a year and a half old French Bulldog named Kirby. He’s by far the light of my life (aside from my husband) and it really is true what they say about bulldogs, their personalities are something else.
I’ve teamed up with Petco to feature some of their new Harajuku Pets line by Gwen Stefani! As a lover of Gwen and Harajuku lovers it was of course the perfect fit. From sweaters, to scarves to adorable squeak toys, your pup will be walking and barking in style. I’ve got to say Kirby is really enjoying his new treats especially his new MOD panda multi squeaker mat toy! Checkout the entire collection here and get some cool new digs for the pup in your life!
Raised Neck Cotton Top – COS | Mid-Rise Jeans – Zara | Lace Up Ballerina Flat – 2020Ave | Ray-Ban Round Sunglasses – Ray-Ban
I’d like to introduce you to my latest retail obsession, COS. If you haven’t already checked them out I highly recommend doing so. They add the utmost class with sleek and stylish cuts and minimalist styles. Their designs are impeccable and although the price is a little high, it’s completely worth purchasing your major must have staple pieces such as jackets, coats, sweaters, and button ups. I picked up this think mock neck long sleeve shirt at the latest COS store opening at South Coast Plaza in Orange County. Needless to say I’m so excited that this place not only has amazing clothing but an amazing retail space as well. This top is super lightweight and perfect to throw under a nice heavy coat this coming fall.
I also finally invested in a pair of gray distressed skinny jeans which of course, feature a raw hem. Theres nothing I love more than an impulse buy that actually works out well for me! This post is full of newbies which also include my adorable new lace up pointed toe flats. I grabbed this pair for a steal on 2020ave. There always has to be a good balance between designer and discount in my eyes when picking out shoes. It’s great to have your staple pairs but for the trendier pieces its always nice to know you can grab a cute looking pair at a great price.
Double breasted blazers are making a huge comeback, without the shoulder pads that is. I really love the look of double breasted blazers without a shirt underneath, giving off that cool girl Parisian vibe whilst showing a little skin for what is otherwise a pretty masculine piece. I was preparing to head out to my local thrift store to find a navy blazer when I came across this Forever21 style. The big plus with this piece is the double breasted blazer is that its actually a blouse. While it might be difficult to layer with this piece as a regular blazer, I was all for the sleeker cut and flowing sleeves that make this an easy wear over jeans, or long trouser shorts (as seen above).
Transitioning from day to night you can pull out a pair of leather leggings and heeled booties or throw on a pair of shorts underneath to accentuate your legs. Either way, there is the perfect balance of masculinity and femininity coming together that makes this a great dressy piece to have in your closet. Not to mention its lightweight enough for our Orange and LA County weather that never seems to decide what it wants to be.
Reworking modern pieces is a great way to change up the monotony that you’re closet can sometimes experience. Case in point being the poplin off shoulder trend, looking slightly undone yet still put together, this isn’t your average boyfriends button up. I grabbed this piece from SheIn and instantly fell in love with the architecture of the collar giving you some extra breathing room on an otherwise traditional button down. Blue button ups are a great addition to your closet and can easily be paired with black skirts, jeans, or trousers to add some sophistication to your look. I pushed this look towards the casual side by throwing on a fun fiddler cap and blue kick flare denim.
Another trend I am completely enamored by is the lace up pointed toe flat. I also found these babies for A STEAL on 2020ave for only $18. When I got a hold of these in person I didn’t have crazy expectations (they were only $18) however I was pleasantly surprised when they came out of the box looking high end. These flats are the perfect piece to add into your fall wardrobe, pairing them with skinny jeans or trousers and you are ready for anything. There’s nothing I enjoy more than a sophisticated flat that can be worn as an alternative to heels for an evening out.
