I’m always on the hunt for cute clothes I can wear to work, but then again who isn’t? Sometimes it can be a struggle juggling the concept of “corporate casual” without crossing over the line. Case in point, we have been experiencing some blistering heat here in Orange County but fashion never takes a break for me so I need to find a way to not only look cute and work appropriate but keep cool considering our air conditioner doesn’t always work in the office. I have been on the hunt for a pair of pleated trouser shorts and FINALLY came across a pair at H&M. I wanted something simple that I can pair with just about anything as well as ensure they are long enough and loose enough to feel work appropriate. I like to bend the rules so who says shorts can’t be allowed in the workplace? I have a feeling these ones are what you’d consider, “the exception”.

I paired my new shorts with my new favorite striped boatneck top from Urban Outfitters. There’s something very flattering about a this cut which is why I’ve been wearing this top multiple times during the week (but don’t let everyone know that). It’s the perfect cropped length as well where you don’t have any belly area peaking out for those days when your just not feeling a true crop. Once I threw on the Lack of Color Spencer hat I knew I was ready for a vacation to Paris, now who will take me?

Shop my entire look above along with some of my other favorites!
