Midi Skirts are what I like to consider a timeless staple piece that provide femininity and elegance. Styling the midi skirt can be somewhat of a challenge, especially for shorter or taller girls who either get too little or too much leg showing. Not to mention for those of us at average height (myself included) there is the challenge of how to make your legs look elongated and not cut off. I styled this metallic midi skirt from Zara with an oversized black sweater, black heeled booties and my leather jacket. The metallic accents of the skirt are incredible and are accentuated when you begin to move (perfect for any upcoming weddings or parties where you’ll be dancing your face off). When I think metallic, I also think leather, so I couldn’t leave the house on this rainy day without my trusty Mango leather jacket.

Being a Southern California and most importantly an Orange County blogger your wardrobe typically focuses on an everlasting summer but on the rare occasion you come across days like this where there is a lightweight drizzle throughout the day bringing to light some amazing colors within the asphalt and some added freshness into the air. It’s not often you can wear a lightweight midi skirt in the midst of winter!
