Longline Tuxedo Vest

Black Sleeveless Contrast Panel Loneline Vest – SheInside | Striped High Collar Tee – Zara (old) | Ridley Skinny Ankle Grazer Raw Hem Denim – ASOS | Platform Blucher Shoe – Zara | Volant Sunglasses – RAEN Optics | Black Envelope Crossbody – H&M | Statement Bib Necklace – ASOS

There’s something about oversized clothes and longline coats that makes my heart swoon. I really am getting a tad obsessed. I don’t think anything feels or looks more chic and flattering than pairing an oversized top with some skinny bottoms and/or throwing on a longline coat, vest, blazer, etc on top. This is a look that I can transition from day to night which is the greatest for the upcoming Holiday Season. With family get togethers around the corner I want to look put together yet have the ability to have a little fun outdoors as well. Mixing casual pieces like the raw hem denim and long sleeve tee with a structured vest and statement necklace you can see how easy it can be to make your look casual yet sophisticated. Don’t forget to finish the look with some comfy shoes and a lightweight bag since we all know you don’t want to carry around your work bag during a Holiday Party.

Camel Tones

Camel is officially my new favorite color. There’s just something about it that gets me feeling like it’s finally Fall. It does tend to blend in a little bit with my skin as my fiance has so often reminded me but nonetheless I still think it’s an extremely classic neutral that is a must have for any wardrobe. I mixed some textures and silhouettes with this look with my structured Zara cocoon coat and flowing white culottes. To make the look a little more city chic casual I threw on my TopShop sneakers. I swear I dress more for the east coast than west.

I’ve had a difficult time finding a cute clutch/crossbody combination bag that I can take out to dinner or shopping that isn’t going to weigh me down (considering all of my handbags could second as a small suitcase.) After juggling making the commitment to someone like Rebecca Minkoff, Zara, or Other Stories -OR- finding a cheap alternative I came across this handbag at H&M on sale for $10 and decided well, even if it doesn’t work out I at least didn’t spend too much. Needless to say it has worked out and I won’t feel as guilty having spent money on myself versus Christmas presents for the fam.

Raw Hem

Simple look for fall is going all denim. Well, denim and chambray to be precise. I’m a big fan of mixing prints and textures while maintaining the same color palette. I’m also becoming quite obsessed with ankle grazer jeans with raw hems. It’s definitely a trend I would recommend giving a try, your ankles will thank you for it! ASOS never disappoints with their jeans, for some reason they fit my body so well and considering I ordered these online it’s really saying something considering jeans are something you 90% of the time need to try on. There are a few different colors along with some distressed pairs that will fit perfectly with your wardrobe. Select the link above to shop!

Stripe Oversize Shirt in Longline – Choies | LOVE21 Belted Wrap Coat Taupe – Forever21 | Platform Blucher Shoe – Zara | White Ankle Jean – Hudson (Similar) | Scout Panama Hat – Urban Outfitters

Nothing like a clean (white) slate to make you feel confident in the morning. This wrap coat has been making my outfits as of late. I’m a huge fan of oversized anything and this shirt is no exception. Not only can it second as a dress it’s shape isn’t unflattering when paired with some skinny jeans as many oversized shirts can be. On another note, these platform oxfords are also becoming a staple within my wardrobe. A few things necessary for Fall in my eyes are 1) wrap coat 2) turtleneck sweater 3) platform oxfords 4) panama hats. Forever21 has been stocking some amazing coats and sweaters for fall not to mention there is a 30% off sale going on right now! No better time to stock up for winter :)

Fall Stripes & Wrap Coat

LOVE21 Belted Wrap Coat Taupe – Forver21 | Striped Tee – Zara | Black Pencil Skirt with Tie – Choies | Platform Blucher Shoe – Zara | Berkeley Bucket Tote Grapefuit – Harveys | Flynn Bracelet – Knotty

Fall weather has officially arrived! If only for a week I’m still happy with it. I picked up this wrap coat from Forever21 that will be a perfect fall staple and as I like to look at it, a glorified bathrobe. I was lucky enough to partner with Choies to showcase this perfect leather mini skirt. If you’re looking for a fall mini I’d recommend grabbing a faux leather piece. This one is extremely easy to wear with an elastic waistband and adds a little something extra with the tie front (I’m a sucker for leather pants with ties so why not a skirt right?). Paired the look with a simple striped tee and some platform oxfords for a bit of a Parisian vibe.

I have also partnered with Harveys to give you a sneak peak of their Winter collection! Fall and Winter aren’t just about muted tones and neutrals, a pop of color can make all of the difference. The Berkeley Bucket Tote is spacious, bright, and has a thick shoulder strap which is a big deal for me, usually because my bag weighs a good 10 pounds. I have difficulty adding in color to my wardrobe at times but accessories make the transition a lot easier. I can definitely see this bag bringing a little brightness to a city of black coats this Winter. Checkout their collection launching November 7, 2014!
